Y Ddraig Aur - "The Golden Dragon"

This flag was used by Owain Glyndwr, the last native Welshman to hold the title "Prince of Wales." Owain Glyndwr led a rebellion against the English from 1400 AD - 1415 AD.

The golden dragon represents Uthr Pendragon, the father of King Arthur. Uthr is popular subject of early Welsh poetry. His legend is connected to a military campaign by the Cornish and the Welsh to resist further expansion of the Saxons.

3'x5' flags are 3ft x 5ft, 36in. by 60in, 91cm by 152cm, 1yard by 1.7yard. This is the most common size flag you see hanging on porches, small flag poles, hanging at festivals, and inside of bars and restaurants.
