Details: 3'x5' polyester flag with white header and two grommets. Most flags have four rows of stitches on the fly and two rows on the top, bottom, and header side. Image is screen printed and appears on both sides.

This flag combines the arms of the Calvert family with the King's Colour's.

The Calverts were the Barons Baltimore, lords proprietors of the Royal Colony of Maryland from 1624-1771. Six members of the Calvert family held the title of Baron Baltimore. Their control ended with the death of the 6th Baron Baltimore. The same family also was given hereditary control on Avalon in New Foundland.

The flag was used in battle during the French and Indian War and other Indian Wars. None of the originals are known to survive today, only written descriptions of the flags.

The current state flag of Maryland also uses the Calvert Arms.

3'x5' flags are 3ft x 5ft, 36in. by 60in, 91cm by 152cm, 1yard by 1.7yard. This is the most common size flag you see hanging on porches, small flag poles, hanging at festivals, and inside of bars and restaurants.
